We produce healthy fats & oils to replace animal-based fats and palm oil in our foods and consumer goods. Instead, we develop technologies for ’brewing’ fats and oils from locally available by-products from the food, agricultural, and wood industry. Our biotechnology solution utilises proprietary microbes (speciality yeast strains), which can convert various side streams into value-added ingredients rich in lipids, proteins, antioxidants, and pigments.
By offering a healthier, tasty and environmentally-friendly fat-alternative to the market, we aim to evoke a turn of mind towards more responsible production and consumption. Our next target is establishing an efficient production of healthy omega-3 fatty acids out of various industrial side streams.
